Environment

There is no shortage of critical environmental issues on which The Johnson Foundation at Wingspread could focus its efforts. By bringing together the right mix of leaders from a variety of perspectives, we hope to bring attention to critical and time-sensitive environmental challenges and to find unique cross-cutting solutions that lead to positive change.

The Foundation will host The Johnson Foundation at Wingspread Environmental Forum – a series of conferences we will convene in coming years to take up varied environmental challenges that demand fresh thinking and new solutions.

Identifying emerging environmental issues and seeking to address them through thoughtful discussion and tangible solutions is the responsibility of everyone – we all have the ability to have impact.

Forum agendas are driven by businesses, governments and not-for-profits to help identify immediate environmental challenges that require high-level discussion and practical solutions.

The inaugural Forum, launched in early 2009, is focused on how government, business and institutions can more effectively manage the looming crisis that threatens our nation’s freshwater resources and systems and the health of our communities.

In addition to the Forum, the Foundation also hosts organizations throughout the year that are seeking to convene on critical, national, regional and state-scale environmental issues.
