Imogene Powers Johnson, Founding Director and Chairman of the Board of The Prairie School, and Director of the Laboratory of Ornithology at Cornell University, joined The Johnson Foundation Board of Directors in October 2004. She attended Cornell and also received a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. Mrs. Johnson has an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Carroll College, an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Carthage College, and has been named Woman of Distinction in Education by the YWCA of Racine.
