James D. Ericson, fomer Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Northwestern Mutual, joined The Johnson Foundation Board of Trustees in November 2000. Mr. Ericson is Chairman of the United Way of Greater Milwaukee and the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce. He is a Director of the Milwaukee Redevelopment Corporation, the Greater Milwaukee Committee, the Milwaukee School of Engineering, the Medical College of Wisconsin, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee. He is a graduate of the University of Iowa and the Iowa College of Law. He also serves as a Trustee of Lawrence University.
