During the 2005-2006 academic year,
student filmmakers from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
followed four Wisconsin Campus Compact Fellows as
they undertook projects that engaged the local community.
In the spring of 2006, the Fellows met at Wingspread
to talk about their experiences and discuss the challenges
of civic life. The Foundation initiated, funded and
directed this project.
The four documentaries and the Wingspread
discussion are available for download below. They
are also available in a DVD. A discussion guide is
also included to help start conversations about students’
attitudes and perceptions regarding service, politics
